The previous deputy mayor of Philadelphia, a Democrat, is backing Republican Dr. Ozwithin the Pennsylvania Senate race.

Rampant crime has been a significant midterm difficulty in 2022 and Pennsylvania is not any exception, particularly Philadelphia.

Issues are spiraling uncontrolled, and this Democrat cites the problem as the explanation for endorsing Oz.

Philadelphia Democrat endorses Oz, urges Democrats to place public security forward of social gathering affiliation

In Pennsylvania’s midterm battleground, the race for the U.S. Senate has Democrats crossing social gathering strains to vote for GOP nominee Mehmet Ozagainst present Lt. Governor John Fetterman.

Enter Democrat Tom Knox, former Philadelphia deputy mayor and former Keystone State gubernatorial candidate. Knox endorsed Ozon Friday, citing rising crime in his metropolis and Democrats’ failure to crack down on violent offenders.

“I am a lifelong Democrat,” Knox defined in his endorsement of Ozover his Democratic opponent. “I met John Fetterman and I personally love him,” Knox continued. “However I am unhappy to say, as a resident of Philadelphia, that our metropolis has turn out to be more and more harmful, and John Fetterman’s crime coverage will make issues worse.”

For Knox, as has been the case for a rising variety of Pennsylvania voters in current weeks, Fetterman’s embrace of the unconventional left’s model of legal justice “reform” has raised eyebrows because the crime will increase and offenders typically find yourself on the streets. “His efforts as Lieutenant Governor to free extra harmful criminals – after now we have already seen an appalling enhance in violent crime – and to advertise heroin injection websites in our neighborhoods are radical concepts that might make our streets much less safe,” Knox mentioned of Fetterman’s priorities.

It is a terrific endorsement for Oz.
